Companion Dog Shows are a chance for any breed or mixture to shine.

Greyhound Welfare Easter Show has now become The Annual Spring Show.

It will now be held on the Last Sunday of April instead of earlier in the month

Mostly because the weather is so unpredicable at Easter time and we all froze in 2006.

Partly because we lost support from people wishing to devote Easter Sunday and Palm Sunday to religious matters. We believe that the formula is now right and were delighted to see that quite a few hundred people, who came from near and far, seemed to agree. There were the usual two show rings and local charity groups and also Rogerstone's green grocer but we added a small-child-orientated fun fair section thanks to (Tim from Taffs Well) and some vintage cars (thanks to the Bickham family)

Pedigree Judge Margaret Barker with the BIS Pedigree, Novelty Judge Sandra Pine with the BIS Novelty Scarlet Ribbon (owned by Mrs G C Jones) Young Handler, Libby. Skye and her owner Rachel

Neither dog fancied wearing our smart new Best in Show Coats although the Sealyham agreed to stand on his.

Thanks to Northolm Supplies for donating these & lots of other canine goodies & to Jenny for the embroidery

The HOUND CLASS was very well supported so we had to photograph it in two goes.

Please see owner Martin in the white jacket (with Jumping Jet's behind) for the repeated section.

Later on the MOST BEAUTIFUL EYES (female) had 35 entries and we gave up trying, but Amy Pine took the three pics below for a smaller Novelty classes and many more for our album
