Newport. Spring 2003. Recently homed Jake is none too sure but he'll be OK if he stays close to his family and Lady Jane. Henry and Collie house-mate are watching his back. Just that slope to get down.

Newport Spring 2003. Jakey made it. Henry, on the right and Lady Jane on the left. Look-a-likes, Poppy and Tango are peeping behind their mum. Old Sam (background) in a rare picture without muzzle.

Changes since the photo. Old Sam passed away in Spring 2005 at 13 yrs with a stroke and Tango passed away with a sudden heart attack in summer 2004 at 6 yrs. Henry, now 13 yrs is living in Carmarthen.

Newport. A sunny day in March 2004. Fiesty little Cleo (far left) and recently adopted Prince are sporting muzzles but they've yet to notice the "small and furry" that Hannah and Fly (centre right) have just seen.

Others, from the left, are Big Sam, Lady Jane, Chalmer, Smokey Blue and Jackson at the far right
